Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
By entering the Golden Fleece Competition (the "Competition"), participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. The Competition is organised by the Hellenic Museum ("Organiser").
2. Eligibility

The Competition is open to participants from Level P to Level 8 at time of entry.

Participants who are home schooled can enter if they correspond to these levels.

Participants must reside in Victoria.

Employees, volunteers and immediate family of the Organiser are ineligible to enter.

Participants must submit one, individual art piece. Group entries are not allowed.
3. How to Enter

Participants must submit their artwork via the submission form on the Competition website by the deadline of 5pm Monday October 5 2026.

All entrants must fill in all fields of the entry form.

All entrants are required to provide certain personal information to complete an entry form. This personal information will be used only for the purposes of the competition and within all applicable data protection and privacy laws. An adult's consent is required to enter the competition.

An adult's name and contact details must be included in the submission form.
4. Artwork Requirements

Each participant may submit one entry.
-
Artwork must be original and created solely by the participant.
-
It must not include any copyrighted material.
-
It must not include any AI-generated material.
-
All visual art mediums are accepted, including, but not limited to: painting, drawing, photography, collage, sculpture, etc.

Paper entries must use a standard size of paper, e.g. A4 or A3. This will assist with exhibiting the winning artworks at the Hellenic Museum (see Section 6: Prizes).

Video entries are not allowed.

Artwork must be submitted digitally. We will not be able to judge or return any artwork submitted physically.

Artwork must be submitted by the form on the Organiser's website.
5. Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged on creativity, clarity of concept, and relevance to the theme.

The panel of judges will consist of Hellenic Museum staff.
6. Prizes

Prizes will be awarded as follows across each category:

First Place: Ultimate art supply kit, Hellenic Museum prize pack and Hellenic Museum family membership

Runner Up: Ultimate art supply kit and Hellenic Museum family membership

Winners will be announced in Term 4, 2026.

The Organiser reserves the right not to award a prize in any category.

The winning participants will be notified and, if possible, presented with their prizes and certificates at a ceremony at the Hellenic Museum on a date to be advised.

Winning artworks will be displayed in a short-term exhibition at the Hellenic Museum, in the year following the conclusion of the Competition, with exact dates to be advised by the Organiser. Any physical works can be collected by participants after the exhibition concludes.
7. Rights and Ownership

Participants retain full ownership of their artwork.

By entering the Competition, participants grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use submitted artworks for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, and press materials.
8. Liability

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organiser from any claims related to their participation in the Competition.
9. Disqualification

The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or is deemed inappropriate.
10. Changes to Terms

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes via the Competition website.
