The 2025 competition may be over, but you can still revisit all of its resources and make your own creatures for fun – a great activity for families and educators!
2025 Theme: Mythical Monsters
Ahoy, Argonauts! Are you ready to join Jason and his crew on the hunt for the Golden Fleece? Be ready, because lots of dangers lie along the way — you could encounter horrendous Harpies, foul Dragons, fire-breathing bulls or deadly Sirens!

The Hellenic Museum needs your help to capture these mythical monsters – using the power of art! Painting, drawing, collage, photography… choose any visual medium you like to show your interpretation of the theme, mythical monsters.
Judging Criteria (Optional)
During the official competition, entries were judged based on their technical artistic skill, as well as the below criteria. You might choose to aim for these while you make your own artwork, but the most important thing is having fun and doing your best.

-
Creativity and originality: does it show a new and interesting perspective?
-
Relevance to the theme: how does the work address the theme?
-
Concept: does the artwork convey a clear idea or story?
